Phra Kring Pawaret II was consecrated to commemorate King Rama IX 60th birthday on the 5th December 1987. The consecration was held at Wat Bovornniwet, Bangkok. His Majesty the King presided in the ceremony and The Supreme Patriach Somdej Phra Yansanghworn Phra Sangharaja of Thailand initiated the consecration ceremony.
